PBL Reflection

For PBl our group the Angry Baby Penguins Chose the topic of child abuse. We decided to try to bring light to the subject. We did this by getting a cop to com and talk to the year 9's. This was a good idea because it brought some light to this subject. That is what my group did for PBL.

My groups goal was to bring light to this topic. I think we have done this. I think this because we had someone talk to all the year 9's about this topic.

Next time I would make shore everyone does their work. Because Casey hasn't done any work and it really annoys me. I would chose a better action so we don't have to change it as much

DISABLERS?	That it took so long to get a guest speaker.
REFLECTION	We worked well to organise a time for our guest speaker.

ACTION TAKEN?	Alicia has made and have gotten the posters hung up around school.
OUTCOME?	We have posters hung around school for promotion of the issue
ENABLERS?	That Alicia had made a poster design prior to us deciding to do this step.
DISABLERS?	We needed them printed and we had to wait for that to happen before we could hang them up.
REFLECTION	We worked well in making shore that the poster were hung up around school.

OUTCOME?	We have speaker organised to talk the year 9's
ENABLERS?	That we got the numbers of some police officers from the counsellor.
DISABLERS?	That one of the officers couldn't speak to them.
REFLECTION	We have done a great job organising a speaker for our plan.

Group Name: Angry Baby Penguins

Topic: Child abuse

The issue we have chosen is child abuse. It is a deep dark overlooked issue that is hurting, killing and scaring children all over NZ.Our big picture is to bring awareness to this overlooked issue because it is not right to treat anyone the way these children are being treated. Our desired impact  is for people to be able to tell the signs of child abuse and help the thousands of children around NZ  that are being abused. Gilberthorpe School, Hornby Primary School, Sockburn School, South Hornby School are the schools we plan to go to.

Today my goal is to be able to do a back dismount and a forward dismount on the parallel bars.
Today I completed my goal and I also learnt how to do a swivel hips on the tramp.
I am getting closer to a merit in most of the equipment.

PE 5

My goal is to be able to complete Straddle dismount on the beam.
I got closer to completing the straddle dismount on the beam but I didn't complete it.
My goal for next time is to work on my trampolining skills.

Today I did the tramp, bar and the beam.

Single Crutch Tara Meddaugh Is one of the three monologues i looked at it is about a guy called Ben who has only one crutch after being kicked around. He plans to change things.

Locking the Store Clark Tara Meddaugh  (who works at the local gift shop) has become smitten with his newest customer, Grace.

Today In PE we jumped on the trampoline and we learnt how to properly swing on the bars> By this time next week I want to be able to swing on the parallel bars.
